Terms of use

The terms on which you may use the Jansen Accountants and Auditors client portal. Effective 21 September 2026.

What the portal is for

This portal is a secure place to exchange documents between you and Jansen Accountants and Auditors Incorporated in connection with the professional work we do for you. It does not replace your engagement letter with us, which continues to govern that work.

Access

• Access is granted to the email addresses we have been asked to authorise. Sign in is by a one-time code sent to that email.
• Keep access to your email secure, and let us know at once if you believe someone else can reach it. Do not forward your sign-in codes to anyone.
• You may see more than one entity if your email is authorised for several. You are responsible for opening the correct one.

Acceptable use

• Upload only documents that relate to your work with us, and that you are entitled to share.
• Every upload is scanned for malware. Do not attempt to upload infected files or to interfere with the portal.
• Do not attempt to access information belonging to any entity you are not authorised for.

Availability and accuracy

We take reasonable steps to keep the portal available and secure, but it is provided on a best-effort basis and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Documents on the portal are made available for your use in the engagement; where a document is marked as draft or unaudited, treat it accordingly.

Confidentiality and privacy

Everything on this portal is confidential to you and our firm. Your personal information is handled in line with our privacy notice and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always appears here. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
